To Pag Island

Tuesday, 16h June.

Leaving Senj yesterday morning, we drove about 48 kms south along the coast road, stopping a couple of times at lookout spots to gaze in awe and photograph the stunning coastline, taking a squillion more photos from the motorhome and arriving at Prinza in plenty of time to have a cup of coffee before the 12.30pm ferry crossing to the island of Pag.  The ferry journey took 15 minutes and cost about $A44 and once on the island, we drove another 20 kms to our campsite at the northern tip of the island.
The camp runs down to the water though we don't have a waterfront site, but as we're a mere 50 metres away we're not complaining.  Since arriving early yesterday afternoon, we've been in swimming several times and generally chilled out by doing the usual holiday things such as reading, snoozing etc., all thoroughly enjoyable.  Mike went fishing early this evening, had 3 bites and caught 2 small herring-like fish we he cooked and we ate for our dinner, very tasty!
The weather has been slightly cooler in the last two days...a bite to the sun but under a shady tree with a gentle breeze blowing, it's been perfect for relaxing.
Tomorrow is another day and we'll be back on the tourist trail!
