Saturday, 1st August.
We did venture in to town this morning though the weather was not favourable. There were hundreds of stalls, thousands of people, plenty of food and drink being consumed and a festive atmosphere all around. We wandered around checking out the goods for sale, didn't buy anything, rode home in the drizzle to have lunch and decided not to stay for the rest of the weekend's festivities, packed up and left via the autobahn to Forchheim, 75 kms north.
The rain had stopped by the time we arrived in Forchheim so we went for a short ride before dinner. We're by the canal but because of trees along the banks we only get glimpses of boats going by.
