A few hours after our arrival in Koblenz last Friday (25th May) we received a message from home informing us that my older sister had passed away, necessitating a return home as quickly as possible.
We were able to secure seats on a flight out of Frankfurt on Sunday, 27th and as we were having great difficulty in organising storage for the bikes (being a weekend, the storage places were all closed) our lovely, lovely hostess Stefanie came to the rescue and offered to keep the bikes in her store room until we are able to return. A great relief.

There is much to do and we expect to be busy for the next few weeks, but intend to return to Europe and complete our bike ride to Holland at a later date. The blog will be suspended until that time.
