THURSDAY, 14th SEPTEMBER : In CAGLIARI, Sardinia
We were late moving this morning but it didn't matter, we didn't have to go anywhere, no bikes to ride no motorhome to drive, no plane, train or bus to catch, so when we did start our day, we first took a load of washing to the laundromat
which was closed and didn't open until 10a.m. While wating for it to open, we went to a cafe for a late breakfast, after which we went back to the laundromat, loaded up the washing machine and wandered down to the port, whiling away the time by taking a few photos of the wonderful old buildings in the area
View of Cagliari from the Public Garden
View of Cagliari on the downhill walk
Royal Palace
Cathedral of Santa Maria and Bell Tower
We stopped and bought ice creams in the Piazza Carlo Alberto.
Through a couple of narrow alleys
and we'd arrived at the absolutely stunning Bastion of St Remy
It was not a long walk downhill then to our hotel for a rest and a cool down...it's quite hot!
