DUSSELDORF

Wednesday, 4th July, 2018.

We took our washing to the wash salon this morning where for €7 our bag of laundry was washed and dried while we ate our breakfast, so we can now be clean for another week.

After breakfast we became tourists for the day, leisurely strolling around the town and through the park and later cycling a little further afield, thoroughly enjoying our time in Dusseldorf.

In the early evening we stopped in at the bar we'd visited yesterday when we met our English friend and his German wife, today befriending a Dusseldorf couple, Monika and Andreas, who invited us to join them at Uerige, the most famous craft brewery-inn in Dusseldorf.  We spent a very pleasant couple of hours in their company and once again were impressed with the generosity and friendliness of the people we have met on this journey.

In many ways we will be sorry to leave Dusseldorf tomorrow but are so glad we came.
