We've had a lovely day out today, the sun tried hard to shine, didn't quite make it but the temperature was a warm 23 degrees.
Mike M was our chauffeur and drove us first to Benodet, a lovely village on the mouth of the Odet River
and after strolling along the river foreshore, we selected a cafe where we could enjoy coffee while people and boat watching, then bought and ate ice creams while ambling back to the car for the drive to Port Saint Pierre where we ate our picnic lunch.
Having satisfied our appetites, we visited the boat harbour and the rescue boat museum where we watched a short film of a re-enactment of a sea rescue from olden times, when manpower was used to put the rescue boats into the water and rowed out to sea.
