SUNDAY, 16th JUNE, 2019
We were in no rush on Sunday morning to get up and get going....we're on holidays!
Our house is a short stroll from the main thoroughfare and Ville Close, a fortified island, once a stronghold of Brittany
and an exceptional site between the fishing port and the marina, now housing shopping streets and cafes.
After an excellent thre course lunch in one of the cafes, courtesy of Mike M, we strolled back home to spend a lazy afternoon soaking up the sunshine in our little courtyard.
MONDAY, 17th JUNE, 2019
We woke to a beautiful blue sky and sunshine this morning so donned shorts to wander down to the Monday markets, buying supplies for tonight's dinner. Back home, Mike and I retrieved the bikes from their resting place in the enclosed courtyard and went for a ride along the beaches,
meeting Marion & Mike on their walk.
Adjourning to a bar/cafe, it was lovely to sit in the sunshine and relax with good company over light refreshments.
