 MORISSET :  (1)  Saturday, 15th May.

We left Buladelah at 9.30am for the drive on the M1 to Morisset, a little south of Newcastle, stopping at Heatherbrae's Pie Shop, which was doing a roaring trade, and bought vegetable pasties and coffee before continuing on.  We're staying at the Morisset Showgrounds for two nights in order to visit our grandson again before heading homewards.  We gave the laundromat a good workout, catching up with the washing that hadn't been done because of the weather, and in the evening took our grandson out for a burger, then  to the McDonald Jones Stadium to watch the Newcastle Jets and Central Coast Mariners.  The Mariners won, 1-0 which was a disappointment and being chilled to the bone didn't help any of us enjoy the game which was actually very even.

MORISSET :  (2)  Sunday, 16th May.

This morning we drove to Cardiff (a suburb of Newcastle, not the capital of Wales) to watch another soccer match, this time our grandson was playing but unfortunately, his team also lost, 2-0.   A visit to Bar Beach,

with fish and chips at the Pavilion Kiosk, followed by a drive around Lake Macquarie,

a stop at Wangi Point,

another at Dora Creek for ice creams and we ended the day by watching a rugby league match on TV.
