After breakfast and packing up, we rode into the town square,
bought charging cables for phones and the tablet as one we had brought with us had broken,
The path was good almost all the way with very good signs, unlike in Hungary and Slovakia, so it is difficult to get lost.
It was a little bit windy, we stopped for morning coffee at a very popular cafe near Zwentendorf which was full of cyclists,
and later crossed the river via a large lock. We were enjoying the ride on the smooth, wide path until we encountered very strong, gusty winds, making the bikes hard to manage....
it was hard yakka but we stopped a few times for a breather, eventually reaching calmer weather and the ride became pleasurable again.
Close to Krems, the cycle path was closed and an alternate one was indicated so we followed the signs through a small village and through the industrial area of Krems. There was heavy traffic, we crossed town on the bike lane of a busy road, went into turbo to ride up a steep hill and happily arrived at our accommodation,
