JOSSELIN to ROHAN
TUESDAY, 4th JUNE, 2019
Another short ride was planned for today, a little more than 20 kms. It was very overcast and cool when we set off so we donned the rain coats which was just as well because we'd only ridden about 8 kms when we felt the first rain drops. Luckily, it coincided with our arrival at a cafe and so we were able to take refuge there, first covering the bikes with the raincoats. Three cups of coffee and almost an hour later, the rain had eased enough to venture out, empty the raincoat pockets (which we'd left unzipped) of water, and start again.
There was some light drizzle for a short time, then the sky began to clear and there was no more rain, though the clouds hung about till late afternoon, when the sun came out!
We detoured 400 metres up a gentle hill to visit the Timadeuc Abbey, and were able to stroll around the grounds of the very impressive building,
then back to the canal and Rohan, another hilly town.
We locked the bikes away, put our bags in our room and wandered into the town for a look around. Unfortunately, Mike tripped on the uneven floor in the b&b and now has a swollen ankle so the walk was difficult. Hopefully, it will have improved by morning.

You are the Riders of Rohan (this is a Lord of the Rings reference, so probably a bit obscure)
You need some action riding shots!
